Product Development &amp; Coordination With Design Sensibility | Outdoor, Action Sports &amp; LifestyleI bring headwear and accessories from concept to finished product for outdoor, lifestyle, and action sports brands. At Coal Headwear I worked with brands like Dickies, Flylow Gear, New Belgium, SRAM/RockShox, and Woodward, building tech packs, updating technical sketches, maintaining BOMs, coordinating with factory vendors overseas and domestic cross-functional teams, and maintaining organized office resources like material binders. I&#39;ve also worked on the other side of the product lifecycle–handling warranty and technical support for Capita Snowboards and Union Binding Co, troubleshooting e-bikes as a Service Advisor at Rad Power Bikes, and even as a Zumiez retail kid in high school–so I understand product through every stage from spec sheet to customer&#39;s hands. My BFA in Printmaking, Drawing, and Illustration (Cornish College of the Arts, cum laude) and graphic design experience allows me to bring a genuine design sensibility to the development process. I&#39;m looking to bring that mix of production discipline and design fluency to a product team in outdoor/action sports.

- Maintain an ongoing personal art practice and share work publicly through gallery shows, self-published books, a Substack newsletter, and an online portfolio
- Coordinate with print vendors to produce self-published books and sticker runs, managing specs, proofs, and print quality from file to finished product
- Partner with clients in and out of the action sports and lifestyle space as a creative collaborator, shaping visual direction and concept alongside brand goals for applications including apparel graphics, social media posts, banner designs, and catalog layouts
- Develop original illustration and design work from initial concept through final art, drawing on an independent practice in printmaking, drawing, and painting

Artist, Writer, Graphic Designer

- Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on customer bikes, translating customer-reported problems into clear documentation for mechanics
- Evaluate warranty claims and make determinations
- Proposed and implemented a new service fee structure, identifying revenue already supported by existing customer expectations where none had been captured before
- Redesigned physical inventory layout and appointment scheduling process to improve consistency and mechanic productivity
- Launched new customer education classes to build community engagement 
- Perform hands-on repairs including brake adjustments, flat repairs, shifting adjustments, freewheel replacements, electrical component swaps, etc…


Service Advisor

- Built and maintained tech packs then worked directly with overseas vendors in Shanghai to keep production accurate and on schedule
- Evaluated samples and physical submits for color, quality, and construction, catching issues early to protect delivery timelines
- Collaborated with sales and clients to turn creative direction into manufacturable designs within budget and fabrication constraints

Graphic Designer/Product Coordinator

-Evaluated warranty claims and provided technical product support via email, phone, and web portal, resolving customer issues and disputes
-Built a parts compatibility guide and binding anatomy posters using Adobe InDesign and Photoshop, giving staff a fast reference for identifying components across product generations
-Reorganized and labeled warranty parts stock, improving turnaround time for warranty orders and inventory counts
-Used deep product knowledge to match customers with effective replacement parts for legacy bindings


Warranty and Customer Service Representative

- Mixed water-based and discharge screen printing inks to match design specifications using the Pantone system, ensuring color accuracy across production runs
- Printed garments on a 4-arm press with flash and conveyor dryer, and flat stock on vacuum table presses
- Selected, coated, exposed, and cleaned screens as part of full production setup
- Ensured orders were printed, packed, and delivered on time and in correct quantities using the shop's project management system
- Helped build out and organize studio production space

-Co-led the screen print education program, managing committee operations and volunteer development.
-Worked with other co-chair to facilitate communication between screen print committee and Vera Project staff and board
-Created documents outlining screen print committee functions, structure, and bylaws
-Helped improve volunteer-to-instructor pipeline by clarifying stages, expectations, and goals

-AASI certified level 1 instructor (was halfway through level 2 certification when an injury interrupted the process)

- Started as a Retail Associate specializing in snow goods, then helped build out and open a new store location as Assistant Manager.
- Sold $100,000 in merchandise in 2006, earning recognition through Zumiez's 100k program
- Attended Zumiez's Bay Area snow product conference, building product knowledge across the snow category
- Helped open a new store as Assistant Manager: supported staff toward sales goals, ensured merchandising met corporate visual standards, and opened/closed as keyholder
