Heat Wave Visual is growing, and we are seeking people to be focused on driving social growth. We are looking for strong organic social creators and managers with deep experience in developing social audiences and engagement across key social platforms. This includes expertise in engagement via DMs and comments, content creation, copywriting, UGC/talent/influencer management, and organic content development (e.g., memes, short-video, etc.). We are flexible on how these responsibilities are structured depending on the unique strengths of the candidates we find.
Social Media Strategy & Content Planning
Own and manage organic social strategy and daily execution across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, and emerging platforms
Develop and execute a content calendar aligned with product drops, athlete partnerships, influencer campaigns, and key brand moments
Monitor trends, audio, and platform updates to keep content fresh and competitive
Analyze performance metrics and optimize for engagement, reach, and conversions
Maintain a 1–2 month content buffer
Execute daily engagement blocks (start/end of day) on tagged posts and within the broader community
Manage the reposting strategy for high-performance Reels (100K+ views)
Copywriting & Messaging (Organic, Paid, Email, SMS)
Write compelling organic social captions that drive engagement and maintain consistent brand voice
Develop high-converting paid ad copy for Meta, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging platforms
Draft email and SMS campaigns for key product releases
Elevate all copy with the unique, humorous, and authentic Heat Wave voice, ensuring continuity across content series
Creator, Influencer & UGC Management
Assist the team with inbound and outbound athlete, influencer, and creator relationships
Coordinate content deliverables, timelines, usage rights, and performance reporting
Source, curate, and deploy User-Generated Content (UGC) for organic and paid social campaigns
Ensure rigorous brand alignment across all creator-produced content
Community Engagement & Social Listening
Ensure timely response to stories, comments, customer questions, and DMs across key social channels (including potential evening/weekend coverage)
Engage with genuine comments, particularly regarding product, in a way that builds customer loyalty and impresses the audience
Maintain the distinct Heat Wave brand voice in all DMs and responses
Identify opportunities for new partnerships, athlete relations, and creator scouting through daily DMs and comments
Surface content opportunities from community conversations (e.g., transforming a great comment or DM into a video concept)
Flag product issues or negative feedback to the internal team to ensure holistic resolution
Content Creation: Shooting
Capture high-quality, authentic iPhone-based product content
Manage end-to-end editing, captioning, and publishing workflows for assigned content assets
Create original memes and reactive content that align with current trends and the brand voice
Monitor and remix content from other relevant sources, athletes, and creators to maintain a consistent content flow
Work Environment
Required On-Site: Full-time presence at our Gilroy, CA fulfilment facility or San Marcos, CA office; additionally, the position requires travel and on-site presence for social media events and content shoots

$70K-$120K Base Salary (dependent on role and experience)
